The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs offered by 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) in India. The exam is organized annually by the Consortium of National Law Universities. It is a highly competitive test and serves as the gateway to prestigious law schools in India.
Undergraduate Program (UG):
There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing for CLAT, for both UG and PG programs.
There is no restriction on the number of attempts for CLAT.
PG CLAT:
Seats are reserved for categories such as SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and EWS as per the specific policies of the participating NLUs. Some NLUs also offer reservations for domicile-based candidates.
